Is it durable?
Durarail's framework is made from the 6063
T5 alloy and the posts are made of the even
stronger 6005A-T61 alloy. With the .070 wall
thickness of the extrusions being the
heaviest in the industry, it makes for an
extremely strong system. Durarail is also
powder coated, meaning the finish will not
peel, flake or blister and as it ages, the
powder coating can be buffed back to
like-new condition with a cut polish.
Are custom options available?
Most deck railing can be easily completed
using our standard components. Since
Durarail is a component system, custom parts
can be used in conjunction with standard
parts, enabeling unlimited railing
solutions. This keeps installations
flexiable and costs low.
What about quality assurance?
All Durarail components are precision
fabricated and go through a tough, five
level quality assurance program to ensure
the highest standards. This means
hassle-free supply and fast installation.
How can these be strong when they use
so much glass?
The strength of a rail or fence system is
in the posts and the framework. The stronger
the structure, the wider the spans between
the posts. This provides for better visual
appearance and view. The heavy wall
thickness and the intricately designed
extrusion combined with the fastening system
gives Durarail the exceptional spans it has
achived. They are among the widest (if not
the widest) in the industry. Durarail meets
or excedes: Boca National Building Code 1999
and the Uniform Building Code/1997 Edition.
What are the color options?
Durarail can be powder coated in seven
standard colors (White, Black, Grey, Beige,
Sandalwood, Forest Green, Rideau Brown) and
over 180 custom colors.
How is the color applied?
The coating process involves the aluminum
material being dipped into a chemical
pre-treatment to prepare the surface. Then,
completely dry and contaminate-free the rail
sections receive an electrical charge
(negative) and are rolled past the powder
applicator nozzles. The powder receives a
positive electrical charge and literally
wraps itself onto every bit of the exposed
metal. This is a very environmentally
friendly system as no solvents are used and
almost all over spray is collected for
re-use. The powder coated components are
then baked at 400* F oven for superior
adhesion and consistent coating thickness.
Is there a Warranty?
